Jio GigaFiber the broadband service of Reliance is now seeking feedback from existing Jio customers over the final name of the FTTH service, Livemint has reported.

Current Jio customers are getting this notification on their MyJio app, “Your opinion matters, What should Jio call its 'Fiber to the home' services?”.

The users when then given three options to choose from:

  1. JioFiber
  2. JioHome
  3. JioGigaFiber

Recently, conflicting reports have emerged over the official launch date of the highly anticipated broadband service.

While some reports have claimed that an official date will be announced during Reliance’s AGM this month - with the earliest estimate being August, others have claimed that no launch will take place in 2019 as Reliance is still fine tuning its infrastructure.

Jio GigaFiber might also end up becoming a market disrupter in the broadband space with prices starting at as low as Rs 600 for unlimited internet. The 100 Mbps speed plan is expected to cost subscribers Rs 1,000 per month.
