The police administration of the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has arrested an unspecified number of miscreants with suspected terror links for threatening local traders and businessmen in the Kashmir Valley against opening their shops, reports The Hindu.
The action from police administration comes after the force took notice of pamphlets and posters intimidating shopkeepers from returning to normal life in the valley, impeding the absolute restoration of peace and normalcy.
Speaking to the media persons on Saturday (23 November), Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Kashmir Valley, S P Pani said that the force had successfully established active terror support behind such incidents and that strong action is being taken against those involved and nabbed.
Delving some details into the developments in this regard, IGP Pani shared that the Police has busted several modules in Sopore, Awantipora, and also Srinagar.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
