In just three years since its inauguration, the Atal Bridge in Ahmedabad has welcomed over 77.71 lakh visitors, making it one of the city’s most popular landmarks.
Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 27 August 2022, the bridge has emerged as a top destination for locals and tourists alike, drawing visitors from across India and overseas.
Constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 74 crore, the bridge has already recovered nearly 37 per cent of its cost.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has earned Rs 27.7 crore in revenue, according to the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL), which manages the structure.
Between 31 August 2022, and October 2025, a total of 77,71,269 visitors visited the bridge, as per data shared by SRFDCL — the AMC’s subsidiary responsible for its construction and maintenance.
During this period, ticket sales contributed over Rs 27.7 crore to AMC’s coffers.
Currently, tickets are priced at Rs 50 for adults and Rs 30 for children (aged 3–12) and senior citizens — revised from the earlier rates of Rs 30 and Rs 15 respectively.
