Advocate Sushil Kumar Vajpayee representing the wife of slain former Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari has received death threats, reports Navbharat Times.
The advocate has filed a report in this regard in Wazirganj police station. He lives in Motinagar area with his family.
As per Vajpayee, on 18 January all the accused were present in the court for hearing. After the hearing, a group of acquaintances, including a woman, of the accused came to meet them.
They started pointing towards Vajpayee to identify him as the lawyer leading the case. Afterwards, the accused asked the group of people to give them a mobile phone. Vajpayee immediately started protesting the said act by the accused to which they allegedly said that he should stick to his job and if he oversteps the boundaries they will see him too.
The advocated immediately the police control room about the incident, after which the Wazirganj and Kaiserbagh police reached the spot and all the accused were sent to court lockup and then sent back to jail.
As per reports, a guard is in place to protect the advocate.
It should be noted that earlier too, a a letter written in Urdu was received at the Hindu Samaj Party office threatening similar fate to other party leader as that of Kamlesh Tiwari.
