As the battle against Coronavirus intensifies, Karnataka is joining hands with private agencies to plug gaps in essential services caused due to the pandemic.
As 108 ambulances in Bengaluru have now been devoted to cater to Covid-19 cases alone, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced that 100 cabs each of Ola and Uber in Bengaluru will function as ambulances.
For those medical emergencies that are not related to Corona, these 100 vehicles each provided by the private players will pitch in to support ferrying of patients to health centres.
This service can be availed by people either through the apps of the respective service providers or by calling 9154153917/18/19. This facility is available only within Bengaluru city limits.
Bengaluru city which saw three new cases yesterday has 45 active Covid cases, has seen 1 death and 16 have been discharged so far.
