A 58-year-old Kerala labourer Perunnon Rajan who won a Rs 12 crore new year lottery has announced that he will held those ailing and struggling around him with the earnings, Times of India has reported.
Rajan resides in a tribal settlement in Kerala’s Maloor.
Rajan who is expected to walk away with Rs 7.2 crore after taxes, has said that, “First of all, I have to clear some liabilities. Then, there are many struggling and ailing people around me, who need support and I should do something for them”.
Rajan who has been supporting his family all these years by working odd jobs has said that he will not be making extravagant expenditures as he knows the value of hard work.
