The forensic lab report in the ongoing SIT investigation has confirmed firing of gunshots in the Lakhimpur violence case.
As per the ballistic report, shots were fired from the licensed weapon of Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni and also his close aide Ankit Das.
It is alleged that Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni's son Ashish Mishra was present in the convoy of vehicles which ran over the protesting farmers.
Along with this, the farmers have also alleged that BJP leaders had fired gunshots during the violence. In this case, Lakhimpur police have already arrested accused Ashish Mishra and his close aides.
On October 3, a group of farmers was protesting against the visit of Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya at Tikunia in Lakhimpur Kheri, when a convoy of three vehicles crushed the protesting farmers. Four farmers and a journalist died on the spot in this accident.
The mob then went berserk and lynched three people from the minister’s convoy.
