In a potential twist in the tale, the JMM-Congress-RJD combine has now fallen below the majority mark of 41 seats and the BJP on the other hand has been slowly increasing its numbers.

As per the latest Election Commission data, the BJP is now leading at 32 seats while the JMM is now a distant second at 23. The Congress is leading on 13 seats and the RJD on three. This brings the coalition number to 39, two seats short of majority mark.

The AJSU and JVM who are touted as potential allies for the BJP are now leading on three seats each. This brings the tally of any potential NDA alliance to 38. The next few hours are set to be crucial for a clearer picture to emerge in the poll results.
