L&T Construction Arm Bags 'Large' Contract Worth Up To Rs 5,000 Crore In Odisha

The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro has secured a large order for its Buildings and Factories business from the Government of Odisha to construct clinical blocks and allied infrastructure for a state-of-the-art hospital in Cuttack, the company said in a statement on Tuesday (14 December).
Though the company has not revealed the exact value of the orders, the contracts falls under 'large' category which ranges between Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore.
The duration of this Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project is 30 months, it added.
The project involves construction of four clinical blocks (B+G+9 floors) comprising composite structural systems & other ancillary buildings with a total built up area of 3.4 million square feet, the company said.
The state-of-the-art facility will cover specialty departments such as Neurology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Hepatology, Cardiology, Surgical blocks, Casualty, trauma & general surgery with a total of 2,058 beds.
"The scope of work includes Design and Execution of Architecture, Structure – Composite System, Electrical, VHT, ELV Systems covering data voice, BMS, ACS, CCTV, AV, PMS, NCS, QMS, AMS, Car Park management system, Asset Management system, PHE system, HVAC, FPS covering water curtain system, High velocity water spray and gas suppression system, MGPS, Steam Boilers, LPG, Kitchen and Laundry Equipment, Automatic waste and laundry system, Medical Pneumatic Tube Systems, Modular integrated OT, BMU System, Interior Works & Solar Panels for energy efficiency" the company said.
"The scope also includes Maintenance for 5 years for VHT, Landscape, FAS, CCTV, ACS, AV & AMS," it added.
