Madhya Pradesh’s ‘economic capital’ Indore is set for international air connectivity with Air India to begin flights to Dubai from today (15 July), PTI has reported.
“Air India will launch the first international flight from Indore to Dubai. The non-stop flight will fulfil a long-standing desire from the travel fraternity and tourists for direct connectivity to the Gulf" said Ashwani Lohani, Chairman and Managing Director of Air India.
The flights will operate on three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and will fly directly to Dubai, with Dubai to Indore flights commencing on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
The return fare for economy class begins Rs 18,700 while for business class has been priced at Rs 42,000. A 162-seater A320 Neo aircraft has been engaged by Air India for the route.
The flight will be flagged off today by BJP’s Indore MP Shankar Lalwani from the city’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport.
