As opposition parties and protesters allege police brutality despite peaceful protests, video footage of pre-meditated violence are coming to light that signal that the protesters had planned ahead to conduct violent protests.

In what looks like footage from a security camera in Mangaluru, a lorry full of stones can is seen being brought to the protesters, who take up the material from the lorry and start pelting it. The police personnel are not visible in the footage.

Previously, another video had shown how masked protesters had fondled with the security camera to avoid being recorded.

Karnataka Home Minister on Tuesday said that the attack on the police was premeditated and the arson orchestrated by the anti-social elements.

He also stated that there was evidence that persons from Kerala had instigated the violence.

“We have definite information about people who have come from Kerala and enrolled in Mangaluru colleges, and were back in the city on the weekend to create trouble, exploiting the unrest against CAA,” he said.
