The National Board of Examination will re-conduct the exam for those who couldn't appear for the NEET PG-2019 held on Sunday (6 January) due to hostile weather conditions, reports Indian Express.
The board decided on a request from the Jammu and Kashmir government to ensure that no Kashmir candidate misses the examination due to closure of roads and cancellation of flights.
Candidates from the valley have been asked to check the National Board of Examination and Board of Professional Entrance Examinations websites for further details, Indian Express quoted an official release as saying.
The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway was closed, flights were cancelled from Srinagar airport, and candidates who were allotted centres outside the Valley could not reach their destinations due to heavy snowfall.
Earlier, given the situation, the National Board of Examination, at the request of the state government, had changed the examination centre of some 25 candidates to Srinagar in the late evening of January 5, enabling them to appear in the examination in Srinagar itself.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
