To take its sound quality to the next level, popular video streaming service Netflix has added a new high-quality audio feature, the Television Post reports.
The company said that the latest feature would deliver audio that sounds closer to what the creators listen in the studio and every small detail is captured for a much more rich and intense auditory experience.
The feature is made adaptive to deliver the best possible audio quality and match user capabilities with bandwidth and device limitations. The feature is similar to what Netflix already has done for video.
Netflix started to review the audio experience after audio did not sound as crisp as it did on the mixing stage in the first episode of Stranger Things 2. They then immediately brought in sound experts and spun the engineering teams to solve the problem. The problem was fixed by delivering a higher bitrate for audio.
The California-based company said that this was a great example of its work culture and doing what was necessary to support creative partners. By merging innovative technology with the engineering teams, Netflix said it was able to extend the solution and provide a better quality of sound to its users worldwide.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
