Reliance Jio GigaFiber has continued to slipped down in the latest Netflix Internet Service Providers (ISP) Speed Index rankings, just a time when the broadband service is expected to be launched, Telecom Talk reports.

The Netflix ISP Speed Index measures the performance of Netflix on particular ISPs. It ranks service providers in terms of speed. Reliance Jio GigaFiber had been dominating the rankings from September 2018 to April 2019, when it was dethroned by 7 Star Digital.

While 7 Star continued to rank as the top ISP in the latest June rankings, Reliance Jio continued to slip down to third spot, below 7 Star Digital and Spectranet. The Mumbai based 7 Star Digital topped with index of 3.54, followed by Spectranet with a index of 3.5. Reliance’s Jio GigaFiber recorded 3.49.

During the time when Jio used to top the rankings, the service used to have an consistent lead of around 0.3 points over its closest ISP. The preview service, which is reaching new cities, leading to growth in subscribers can be attributed to the loss of points for Jio GigaFiber.
