The Indian Army and the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) are set to hold the next round of Corps Commander-level talks today at Moldo on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) along the Eastern Ladakh sector, reports news agency ANI.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:00am, and Indian Army's representation will be pushing on the Chinese representation for complete disengagement by the latter's troopers in the Finger Area where no significant headway has been achieved as of yet in terms of resolution of the ongoing dispute.

Just last week, the senior diplomats from the two nations had held the 17th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC), during which the situation along the LAC had been taken up for review.

The bilateral relations meanwhile have stooped to a multi-decadal low with irreparable damage having been caused to the trust between the two nations, since 20 Indian soldiers, including a commanding officer, had been martyred on the 15-16 June night in a clash that erupted out of Chinese aggression in the Galwan Valley area.
