The express empanelment procedure was launched by the NHA of Friday (10 April) on a temporary basis to increase the number of enrolled hospitals and facilities to ensure that patients suffering from illnesses like diabetes, cardiac issues and cancer etc. which require continuous treatment can avail continued attention and care without any fear of contracting COVID-19.
NHA's chief executive Dr Indu Bhushan expects that the move would strengthen the supply of care under the Ayushman Bharat programme.
