E Sreedharan popularly known as the “Metro Man” said on Tuesday that there is nothing to be proud of in accepting foreign aid for relief work in Kerala, reports Mathrubhumi.
“Serious lapse in weather prediction led to the catastrophe. Dams could have been opened early if the Meteorology department had issued a warning . People have lost trust in the weather predictions. The National Aerospace and Space Administration (NASA) had in a report held the dam management of Kerala accountable for the severe floods in August. Simultaneous opening of big dams of the likes of Idukki accentuated the intensity of the floods said NASA.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
