The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has released a tender for the engagement of specialised Radio FM services at its Aqua Line, as reported by the Metro Rail News.

Aqua Line is soon to be started between Noida and Greater Noida. The NMRC officials said that they would soon open bids submitted by the tenderer.

The idea is to make sure the people are entertained with music and updated about the latest happening while they wait for the trains. “ Interviews of any celebrity or VIP who have travelled on the line could also be featured,” said PD Upadhyay, GM-Finance (acting CPRO), NMRC.

Two interested parties sought clarifications in the pre-bid meeting. Officials are expecting more candidates by the end of the application date. The tender is to be opened on 11 November, and the concerned candidates will be asked to make presentations.

A similar radio service is already seen in Lucknow Metro which partnered with Radio City 91.9 FM.
