A railway line has been laid in the Balangir-Bichhupali route that is 15 km long, costing Rs 115 crore. The line is part of the bigger 289 km Balangir-Khurda route that connects Howrah-Chennai main line on the Khurda Road and at Balangir on the Titlagarh-Sambalpur line.
