Odisha's leading regional news media house OTV has slammed the Chief Minister (CM) Naveen Patnaik led State Government in Odisha alleging that it has filed a streak of fake cases against it because of CM Patnaik's personal vendetta, reports OTV.

The State Government has registered a series of 20 cases against OTV in just past two months, which the OTV has called false. OTV's managing director (MD) Jagi Mangat Panda has demanded an investigation into all the allegations by a neutral national agency in the interest of propriety and fairness.

In a statement issued by Panda, she said, "We vehemently deny these allegations. There has been no wrongdoing by us and we are confident that this will ultimately be proved in the courts. We assert that these cases are being orchestrated by the 21-year-old BJD government in Odisha, because of CM Naveen Patnaik’s personal vendetta against us."

OTV has also called on the national media to maintain fairness in their coverage and cover the full facts on the issues and not just the allegations and developments which suit the perspective of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
