Statistics from the Interior Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has revealed that as many as half a million Pakistani citizens have been deported back to its lands by over 134 countries across the world in just the past five years, reports the Times of Islamabad.
The figure of 5,19,000 such individuals has been linked with accounts of sundry charges and criminal offences, including forging of documents. It should also be noted that among the top of the list are all Muslim nations, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The KSA, topping the list, alone has expelled a share of 3,25,000 Pakistani citizens since 2014. The second nation on the list to have deported maximum such Pakistani nationals is the UAE, with the figure standing at 52,000.
Oman and Turkey have sent back 47,000 Pakistani citizens, with Pakistan's friendly nation of Malaysia having deported a massive number of 18,312 over the same course. Many of these Pakistani nationals have been deported for having entered the respective nations illegally.
