Pakistan Rangers Facilitating Illegal Drugs And Arms Smuggling Into India: Counter Intelligence  Substance abuse has become a widespread problem among the youth 

After interrogation of 10 Indian smugglers in Ferozepur setor of the Indian border, it was revealed that the Pakistan Rangers, responsible for safe-guarding the border along India, are actively providing logistical support to drugs and arms smugglers in India, reports India Today.

Narendra Pal Singh Sidhu, AIG, Counter Intelligence said, "While questioning the drug smugglers, they have revealed that Indian drug smugglers contact Pakistan Rangers to deliver the consignment of drugs. They are guided by the Pakistan Rangers."

In 2017 a counter intelligence police post was opened in Fazilka which resulted in the arrest of 70 drug smugglers in Ferozepur sector.

Ajay Saluja, AIG Bathinda range, said, “Heroine is now being smuggled in smaller quantities from Pakistan after the arrest of big drug lords and so far no case of dropping drug consignments by using drones has been reported in Ferozepur and Fazilka sectors.”

In 2019 206 Kilogram of heroine has been seized by the likes of BSF, other security agencies including Punjab Police.
