Earlier today at the border, Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) killed seven Pakistan rangers and one terrorist in retaliation to an unprovoked ceasefire violation from the other side.
According to the BSF, Pakistan rangers resorted to sniper attack at 9:35 in the morning in Kathua district’s Hiranagar sector.
In retaliation, border forces launched an offensive. “During intermittent firing of small arms and area weapon one militant and seven Rangers were shot dead,” BSF said.
On the Indian side, one BSF trooper Constable Gurnam Singh was badly injured. He was evacuated to Government Medical College in Jammu but his condition is critical.
