Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to be ahead of other global heads in public support, with approval ratings standing at 66 per cent.
According to an American data intelligence firm, the Morning Consult, PM Modi is ahead of other world leaders of 13 countries, including the US, the UK, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Italy, Canada, Brazil, France, Spain and Germany.
"MorningConsult, which tracks national ratings of the elected leaders of 13 countries, shows a 20-point slide over the past year in the proportion of Indians who approve of Mr Modi. Yet at 66 per cent in early June, he still outperforms all the rest," the firm tweeted.
According to Morning Consult, PM Modi is followed by Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi (65 per cent), Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (63 per cent), Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison (54 per cent), German Chancellor Angela Merkel (53 per cent), US President Joe Biden (53 per cent), Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (48 per cent), UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson (44 per cent), South Korean President Moon Jae-In (37 per cent), Spanish Spain Pedro Sánchez (36 per cent), Brazilian President Jaire Bolsonaro (35 per cent), French President Emmanuel Macron (35 per cent) and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga (29 per cent).
Among the global disapproval ratings, PM Modi stood at the second position from the bottom with a disapproval rating of 28 per cent. With 27 per cent, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has the least disapproval rating among all.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
