Newly minted Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra won’t visit the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as the matter is still ‘sub-judice’, Times Now has reported.
Vadra is currently on a three day tour to Uttar Pradesh and had paid a visit to Ayodhya on Friday (29 March). She is also expected to take part in a 50 km road-show in the region.
As per the report, despite her being the first member of the Gandhi family to have visited Ayodhya in some time, she had not decided to visit the Ram Janmabhoomi site as the matter remains sub-judice. She though is expected to visit the Hanumangarhi temple.
A couple of days ago, Vadra was reported as asking Congress workers if they were preparing hard for the state’s assembly polls in 2022, instead of enquiring about preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Priyanka Gandhi made the gaffe while she was campaigning in her brother, Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s constituency.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
