Reliance Industries’ philanthropic arm Reliance Foundation has released a statement outlining its willingness to look after the educational needs of the children of CRPF jawans martyred in the Pulwama attack, as well as to provide employment to their families, reports Moneycontrol.
The foundation has also said that its hospital would be ready to provide any medical treatment required by the injured jawans. The organisation’s statement says it shares the same outrage being felt by 1.3 billion Indians.
"We shall also deem it to be our duty to shoulder any other responsibility the government may place upon us in service to our beloved Armed Forces," reads the statement.
The Reliance Foundation is run by business magnate Mukesh Ambani’s wife Nita Ambani. It is primarily aimed at tackling developmental problems in India in fields such as rural transformation, education, health, disaster response, urban renewal, etc.
The Pulwama attack was a suicide bombing which took place on Thursday (14 February 2019) when a Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber rammed his explosives laden SUV into a convoy of CRPF vehicles, martyring more than 40 soldiers.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
