Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik's bail pleas were rejected by a special court in Mumbai in connection with a drug case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, the Indian Express reported.
Bail applications of four others along with the Chakraborty siblings were also turned down by the court.
The female actor and her brother had recently been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) which is probing the drug connection in Rajput's death case.
The bail pleas were rejected by judge G B Gurao of the special court who was hearing the matter filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
All the six accused are likely to move the Bombay High Court shortly for bail.
Until further relief, Rhea will remain in the Byculla Jail as she has been sent on judicial custody until 22 September.
The NCB had interrogated Rhea for six hours on Sunday, later on Monday for eight hours and again for around five hours on Tuesday before placing her under arrest.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
