Soon A Metro In Bhopal: Dilip Buildcon Gets Rs 247.06 Crore Contract For Phase-1 Of The Project

Construction engineering company Dilip Buildcon has bagged the contract for constructing the first phase of Bhopal metro, Press Trust of India has reported. The value of the contract is said to be Rs 247.06 crore, the company informed in a BSE filing.
Under this contract, Dilip Buildcon which was the L-1 bidder is required to design and construct an elevated viaduct between AIIMS and Subhash Nagar, including entry and exit to the depot.
As per a report in Rail Analysis, the completion period of the project is 27 months.
We had reported in June that the Finance Ministry had approved metro rail projects for Indore, Bhopal, Kanpur, Agra, and Delhi to be undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs 1.07 lakh crore.
As per the report, the proposed length of the Bhopal metro is 95.03 km and is estimated to cost Rs 22,504 crore.
