Tamil Nadu: Kanyakumari Church Priest Benedict Anto Who Was Arrested For Sexually Abusing Women Gets Bail

Benedict Anto, a Syro Malankara Catholic Church priest from Kanyakumari district who was arrested last month after videos of him indulging in intimate acts with women emerged on social media, has been granted conditional bail by a court in Nagercoil today (25 April).

Anto was accused of being a sexual predator, who would send obscene messages and also kiss and touch women inappropriately. He would then force these women to keep quiet by threatening to release their intimate videos.

A lady Mini Ajitha had complained to the police saying that Anto had filed a false case against her son Austin Gino because he had dared to confront him for harassing his female friend, who is a medical student.

According to a report by Organizer, he is associated with the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) and close to its leader Seeman.
