Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is gearing up to the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi and Dwadasi on 18 and 19 December. The event witnesses about two lakh pilgrims who are expected to arrive across the two days. Accommodation is being arranged along with adequate facilities for the Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam.
Opposite to the Vaikuntam queue complex, there lies Narayanagiri Gardens, with 16 temporary sheds being constructed which makes its spacious. Ten sectors have been created to make arrangements for shelters that pilgrims will require. Apart from the aforementioned, 229 toilets have also been constructed.
To accommodate 40,000 pilgrims if the weather goes bad, galleries have been created in the mada streets which have been divided into 16 sectors and 14 sheds, Deccan Chronicle reported. There too, as many as 176 toilets are constructed.
2,500 Srivari Sevaks, Devasthanam staff has been deployed by the management to serve annaprasadam and water to the devotees. Several LED screens have been put up across the premises that contain timings of the darshan along with other information. Senior TTD officials will reportedly be overlooking the teams and giving them required guidance for smoother management of the occasion.
