Virat Kohli has hit back at his critics on Twitter after his response to a fan had made way for controversy, NDTV has reported.
I guess trolling isn't for me guys, I'll stick to getting trolled! ð
— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) November 8, 2018
I spoke about how "these Indians" was mentioned in the comment and that's all. Iâm all for freedom of choice. ð Keep it light guys and enjoy the festive season. Love and peace to all. âð
In a message sent to Kohli during a fan interaction on Wednesday (November 07), the fan had said: "I enjoy watching English and Australian batsmen more than these Indians. Over-rated batsman. Personally, I see nothing special in his batting."
The skipper took offence to these comments and said, "I don't think you should live in India, go and live somewhere else. Why are you living in our country and loving other countries? I don't mind you not liking me, but I don't think you should live in our country and like other things. Get your priorities right."
Virat Kohli is currently on a break from cricket and will resume his duties when India’s tour of Australia starts on 21 November. India will play a three-match T20 series followed by a four-match test series and a three-match ODI series.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
