The United States President Donald Trump, who is currently hosting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on an official visit, suggested that the US would enter into a long-term natural gas agreement with India.

The catch here is that India already has such an agreement with the US in place, and has received close to seven shipments of natural gas since the US started liquefaction of its shale reserves for export a year ago, according to Mint.

After meeting Modi, Trump said he would enter an agreement to sell American gas to India, but not before specifying that he was “trying to get the price up a little bit”.
