A model of India’s Ghatak unmanned stealth combat drone, which has never been seen before, has appeared in a video lecture published by the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, defence blog Livefist has reported.
According to the blog, which has been consistently tracking developments in this programme, the model “makes its appearance sitting in the background in a video of an IIT-K lecture on UAV aerodynamics shared last week.”

IIT-K, the report says, is involved in research for the Ghatak program.
The undercarriage and landing gear are visible in the new model. However, it is unclear if the object that appears in the video is a mock-up or a flying model.
“It is entirely possible that the model is a sub-scale remote control model that was part of the iterative process. The model however does match the evolution of the Ghatak as Livefist has tracked so far..,” the report reads.
