Prepare to fly from one place to another but using the familiar Uber/Ola model as aircraft charter companies gear up to offer services similar to aggregators at fares up to 50 per cent cheaper, reported the Times of India.
A flyer will be able to choose from various aircraft on one platform with these services. There are 129 general aviation operators in the country – 60 of them have fixed-wing aircraft in their fleets while the remainder have only helicopters, said the report.
According to Jet-SetGo co-founder, Kanika Tekriwal, key to reducing the flight time, and therefore the cost, is positioning aircraft strategically across the country and matching demand and supply more efficiently.
Will this be a step towards making our transport three-dimensional? And if yes, are we prepared for three-dimensional transport?

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
