Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a congratulatory phone call to Prime Minister Narendra Modi joked that while he (Netanyahu) needs a coalition to form the government, Prime Minister Modi does not need one.

A clip of the conversation was shared by Netanyahu’s official Prime Minister Twitter handle.

In the phone call, Netanyahu is heard speaking to Prime Minister Modi on a first name basis while warmly referring to him as his friend. Netanyahu called the BJP’s win as an “enormous victory” and expressed hope that they would be able to meet soon after both form a new government.

Netanyahu also thanked Prime Minister Modi for his wisher and joked that he (Netanyahu) does need a coalition to form the new government as the recent Israeli mandate has thrown up a hung parliament.
