In an unexpected archaeological find, a Shiva temple dating back 500 years has been discovered in Patna, the capital of Bihar. The uncovering has caused a wave of exhilaration among both local residents and tourists.

Found under a site that was widely regarded as a garbage heap, the temple is situated in Ward No. 54, an area thought to have been linked to a monastery in the past, as per MoneyControl report.

Prior to the arrival of authorities, the local inhabitants took it upon themselves to dig up the area. Once they had removed the rubble, they discovered the structure, tidied it up, and started to conduct their worship at the temple.

The temple contains an old Shiva Linga and two unique footprints. The locals suggest that the temple seems to be made from a unique metallic substance, and water perpetually drips from its walls.

The architectural design of the temple features sleek black stone, contributing to its distinctive and historical allure. Believed to have been established in the 15th century, the temple carries considerable archaeological and cultural weight.

The precise age and origin of this structure are still under investigation by experts, but preliminary results point towards its historical importance. The unearthing of the Shiva Linga and ancient footprints has amplified public curiosity, leading to a surge of visitors at the site.

This is not the inaugural instance of such a find in the ancient districts of Patna. Previously, traces of temples have been excavated from old residences. However, this marks the first occasion where a fully intact temple-like edifice, inclusive of a Shiva Linga, has been discovered in the city area of Patna.

The recently unearthed temple in Patna has swiftly turned into a hub for believers. The local community has started conducting ceremonies and offering prayers at the location, attracting substantial gatherings keen to experience this concealed gem.
