Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS) has inaugurated a state-of-the-art logistics park at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, with an investment of Rs 200 crores, Financial Express reported.

Covering an area of 8 acres, the AISATS BLR Logistics Park is one of the biggest on-airport logistics centres in South India.

The complex houses three major buildings: a two-story Grade A main warehouse that provides more than 240,000 sq. ft of floor space, a 11,000 sq. ft public bonded warehouse, and a 24,000 sq. ft office building for the use of customs house agents and logistics firms.

“This world-class facility will enhance regional economic prosperity and position Bengaluru and Karnataka as hubs for logistics innovation and trade excellence,” said Nipun Aggarwal, chairman of AISATS.

Strategically located to cater to Kempegowda International Airport — India's third busiest airport and the entry point for 40 per cent of South India's air cargo, the logistics park is likely to play a major role in the region's freight-handling capacity.

The airport handled 502,480 metric tonnes of cargo in FY25 and hopes to double that to 1 million metric tonnes by 2030.

The park is also a sustainability model for infrastructure with features including rainwater harvesting, natural light maximisation, energy-saving LED systems, and holistic waste management in accordance with reduce-reuse-recycle principles.

AISATS, a 50:50 joint venture between Singapore's SATS Ltd. and Air India, has been operational in India since 2008.

Bengaluru's park is part of AISATS's wider national expansion plan, which includes a significant future multimodal cargo terminal at Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport).
