Amid J&K Police Crackdown On Terror Infra, ADGP Warns Of Severe Consequences For Those Harbouring Terrorists

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for the Jammu Zone Anand Jain has issued a stern warning for people harbouring anti-national intentions or supporting terrorists, stating that such individuals will face severe consequences.

The ADGP appealed to the public to stay alert and cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting any suspicious activity.

"Those harbouring anti-national intentions or providing any support to terrorists will face severe consequences," Jain said, news agency PTI reported.

This comes after the J&K police on Thursday (28 November) attached the properties of seven absconding terrorists, currently operating from Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), in Kishtwar in connection with a case registered in 2022 under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and IPC.

The police had declared these terrorists as proclaimed offenders.

Jain reaffirmed the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to maintaining peace in the region by dismantling terror ecosystem and networks.

He also emphasised he importance of attaching the properties of those involved.

Jain revealed that the properties of 29 additional absconding terrorists have been identified.

"The process for their attachment is underway and will be completed shortly, further tightening the noose around terror operatives," the ADGP added.

According to Jain, this robust action actions underscore the steadfast resolove of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to safeguard the region's peace and uphold the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.
