Around 57 Per Cent Voting Till 5 PM, Kalyan And Lucknow Lowest Turnout Constituencies In Their Respective States

56.68 per cent of voter turnout was reported till 5 pm in 49 constituencies of eight States and Union Territories voting in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections today (20 May).

Maximum voter turnout was reported in West Bengal at 73 per cent. Ladakh and Jharkhand followed with turnout of 67.15 per cent and 61.90 per cent respectively.

Maharashtra recorded the lowest turnout with 48.66 per cent voting. Here, the lowest voting was in the Kalyan constituency where Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's son Shrikant is contesting.

52.35 per cent voted in Bihar and its neighbour Uttar Pradesh was a little ahead with 55.80 per cent voting. However, the turnout in UP was lowest in the capital Lucknow.

The voter turnout in Jammu and Kashmir and Odisha was 54.21 per cent and 60.55 per cent respectively. Nine Assembly Constituencies of Odisha are also voting today.
