Aryan Mann Wins DUSU President Post; ABVP Bags 3 Key Positions, NSUI Secures Vice President’s Seat

The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) results were declared on Friday, with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) winning three of the four top posts, while the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) secured the Vice President’s seat, ABP Live reported.

ABVP’s Aryan Mann emerged as President with 26,642 votes, defeating NSUI’s Joslyn Chaudhary, who secured 10,814 votes, a lead of 15,828.

For Vice President, NSUI’s Rahul Jhansla polled 27,182 votes, beating ABVP’s Govind Tanwar by 8,037.

The Secretary post went to ABVP’s Kunal Chaudhary, who won by 6,957 votes against rival Kabir.

Deepika Jha of ABVP clinched the Joint Secretary’s position with 20,254 votes.

Counting began at 8 am at the Multipurpose Hall of the University Sports Stadium, North Campus, and concluded after 19 rounds.

This year’s elections drew attention as NSUI fielded a woman candidate for the president’s post after 17 years.

After his victory, Kunal Chaudhary thanked students for their support. “I have been elected as the Secretary of the Delhi University Students’ Union, and I express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire student community of Delhi University. I bow with folded hands and extend my sincere thanks to all of you. I also assure every student of Delhi University that whenever anyone needs me, I will always stand by them,” Chaudhary was quoted as saying by ABP Live.
