Big Change in Gandhi Family's Attitude Towards Amethi And Rae Bareli After Dual Lok Sabha Wins, Event On 11 June

While Sonia Gandhi didn't even turn up to collect the winning certificate in Rae Bareli after the 2019 victory, an event is planned this time by the Gandhi family to thank the people of Amethi and Rae Bareli for dual wins.

Amar Ujala reported that an event will be held on 11 June on the border of Amethi and Rae Bareli to thank the people of both constituencies for sending a Congress MP to the Lok Sabha, a significant change from 2019.

Kishori Lal Sharma won from Amethi, defeating incumbent BJP MP Smriti Irani and Rahul Gandhi won from Rae Bareli, a seat that his mother Sonia Gandhi had held since 2004 but decided not to contest this time.

In 2019, Rahul Gandhi lost to Smriti Irani in Amethi and the Congress was able to send only one MP to the Lok Sabha, Sonia Gandhi. But disappointed over other losses, she did not even visit the constituency to collect her certificate.

However, this time, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Kishori Lal Sharma will address a gathering, of majorly Congress workers, on 11 June.

Congress Rae Bareli district president Pankaj Tiwari and Rahul Gandhi's election convener Vijay Shankar Agnihotri had gone to Delhi on Thursday to invite Gandhi family members to the constituency.
