BJP Releases 'Modi Ki Guarantee' Manifesto For MP Polls: Promises Rs 2 Lakh To Girl Child, LPG At Rs 450 And More; Details Here

On Saturday (11 November), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its 'Modi ki Guarantee' manifesto for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly elections.

The manifesto was released by BJP chief JP Nadda in presence of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and party's state chief VD Sharma.

In the manifesto, the party promised to provide free ration to the poor for the next five years and LPG cylinders for Rs 450 to beneficiaries of the 'Ladli Bahna' and 'PM Ujjwala' schemes in the state.

The party also said it will set up Madhya Pradesh Institute of Technology and Madhya Pradesh Institute of Medical Sciences once it retains power in the state.  

The BJP further promised to provide 100 units of electricity for Rs 100.

The party has promised to provide free education to girls from poor families up to post-graduation.

Additionally, the party committed to purchasing wheat and paddy from farmers at Rs 2,700 and Rs 3,100 per quintal, respectively, if they are elected to power.

Here are the major promises made by BJP in the MP election manifesto:

  1. Free ration to the poor for the next five years.

  2. Procurement of wheat at Rs 2,700 and paddy at Rs 3,100 per quintal from farmers.

  3. Rs 12,000 to farmers every year under the Kisan Samman Nidhi and Kisan Kalyaan Yojana.

  4. Mukhya Mantri Jan Awas Yojana to be launched in the state for providing homes to the poors in the state.

  5. Ladli Behna Scheme beneficiaries to be provided financial assistance, along with a pakka house.

  6. Beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Scheme and Ujjawala Scheme to be provided gas cylinders at Rs 450.

  7. An opportunity of employment or self-employment to be provided to every household.

  8. Skill development activities for 15 lakh women from villages.

  9. Girl child to be provided a total of Rs 2 lakh until she attains the age of 21 years.

  10. Girls students from poor families to be provided free education "from KG to PG (post graduate).

  11. Free education to every school student till Class 12.

  12. Rs 3 lakh crore for the empowerment of tribal community.

  13. Rs 4,000 per sack for tendu patta storage.

  14. To open Eklavya Vidyalalaya (school) in ST block and build a medical college in ST dominated districts.

  15. Nutritious breakfast along with mid-day-meal in government schools.

  16. Madhya Pradesh Institute of Technology and Madhya Pradesh Institute of Medical Sciences to be set up.

  17. Development of 13 cultural sites.

  18. Six new expressway to be constructed.

  19. Modernisation of 80 railway stations. Inclusion of Vande Metro, Vande Bharat sleeper train. Airports to be built at Singrol and Shehdol.

  20. Rs 20,000 crore investment in health sector to make "high-tech" hospitals. Number of beds in the ICU to be doubled.

  21. Establishing medical colleges in every Lok Sabha seat and add 2,000 more seats in 5 years.
