BJP, TDP, And Jana Sena Finalise Seat Sharing For Lok Sabha And Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections: Here's All You Need To Know

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) led by N Chandrababu Naidu, and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party have reached an agreement on seat-sharing for the forthcoming Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.
The BJP is set to contest in six Lok Sabha and ten assembly constituencies, while the TDP will vie for 17 Lok Sabha and 144 assembly seats. The Jana Sena Party has been allocated two Lok Sabha and 21 assembly seats in the state, which has a total of 25 Lok Sabha and 175 assembly seats.
The BJP will likely contest parliamentary elections from Araku, Rajahmundry, Anakapalle, Tirupati, Narasapuram and one more seat while Jana sena from Machilipatnam and Kakinada, NDTV reported.
This seat distribution was finalised after senior BJP figures including Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat engaged in intense discussions with Naidu, and Kalyan on Monday.
Earlier on 9 March, BJP chief J P Nadda had announced the alliance of his party with the Telugu Desam Party and the Jana Sena.
"Under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Jana Sena Party (JSP) as being committed for the progress of country and the upliftment of state and people of Andhra Pradesh, have decided to contest the ensuing Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections together in Andhra Pradesh," Nadda had said.
