ED Attaches Properties Worth Rs 98 Crore Of Raj Kundra Including Shilpa Shetty's Juhu Flat In Cryptocurrency Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached immovable and movable properties worth Rs 97.79 crore belonging to actress Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra aka Ripu Sudan Kundra.
The attached properties include a residential flat situated in Mumbai's Juhu presently in the name of Shilpa Shetty, a residential bungalow situated in Pune and equity shares in the name of Raj Kundra.
The attachments are made under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) 2002 in a cryptocurrency case as the agency believes these properties were bought with proceeds of crime.
The case revolves around a Rs 6,600 crore Bitcoin-based ponzi scam that was orchestrated by a Singapore-based firm Variable Tech Private Limited.
