Gurgaon will soon get a state‑of‑the‑art integrated bus-metro terminal in Sector 10 at an estimated cost of Rs 32.4 crore, designed to link the upcoming metro corridor with bus services for seamless commuter transfers, reported The Times Of India.

The facility will improve connectivity, ease last‑mile travel, and reduce congestion at key city junctions, making public transport more appealing.

A GMDA official said the authority has prepared a detailed project report (DPR) and will soon issue tenders for construction.

The existing 13‑acre bus depot will see about 7 acres transformed into the integrated terminal, which will feature multiple bus bays, spacious waiting areas, and passenger amenities to handle large commuter volumes.

Currently, the depot accommodates around 200 buses at a time.

Last year, Gurugram Metro Rail Limited stressed the need for such a terminal to offer efficient transit for metro passengers, urging GMDA to construct it to enhance urban mobility.

A senior GMDA official stated, "The Sector 10 bus terminal is aimed at ensuring that passengers experience a seamless transfer between metro and bus services, making public transport a more convenient and efficient option. We have received administrative approval and are preparing the tender document for the same. Bids will be invited soon."

In addition to Sector 10, GMDA will build bus terminals in Sector 29 and Rajiv Chowk, and a depot‑cum‑terminal in Sector 12. The transport department has already agreed to provide land for these projects. GMDA plans to operate 900 city buses soon, up from the current fleet of 150 buses running across 24 routes, with 50 buses already serving Faridabad under state orders.
