Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday (31 October) distributed Rs 2,100 each to 5,22,162 eligible women beneficiaries under the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi scheme, reported The Hindu.

Speaking at a press conference in Chandigarh, he described the initiative as a step toward fostering self-reliance and economic empowerment among women.

“This step towards women’s empowerment is not merely a government scheme, it is a shining example of the transparent policy and honest intent of the double-engine government committed to social transformation,” he said.

The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to protect the rights of disadvantaged Scheduled Castes.

He pointed out that the state administration ensures their active participation in government employment, panchayat elections, and local body polls.

In addition, the government has rolled out multiple programs to support backward classes and economically weaker sections, he added.

Saini also highlighted the state’s achievements in youth employment, noting that the current government had made unprecedented progress by providing 3,00,000 young people with government job opportunities over the past 11 years in a fully transparent manner.

On the education and industrial fronts, Saini said, “the State government is focusing on both education and skill development for youth in line with the new National Education Policy. A robust ‘Ease of Doing Business’ ecosystem has been established to accelerate industrial growth.”
