Nuh violence accused Congress MLA Mamman Khan has won in Ferozepur Jhirka with the highest victory margin of 98,441 votes in the Haryana assembly election.

His victory margin even surpasses that of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who has won in Garhi Sampla-Kiloi with over 70,000 votes, the second highest.

Notably, Nuh's Superintendent of Police (SP), Narendra Bijarnia, officially pressed charges against Khan for his alleged role in provoking violence in Nuh on 31 July 2023.

Bijarnia stated that the investigations have provided substantial evidence against Khan for his alleged role in inciting the violence. It has been revealed that Khan was present at the scene before the violence erupted.

Despite these allegations, Khan emerged as the winner with the highest victory margin and secured a second term as MLA while his party could not form government in the state.

Notably, this was the only assembly constituency where the BJP fielded a Muslim candidate Naseem Ahmed but could not stop the polarisation of Muslim votes.

Ahmed received fewer votes than in 2019, while Khan almost tripled his victory margin. This comes after he was kept in jail for a while last year for Nuh violence.
