A strange case has surfaced in Karnataka, where a 38-year-old woman was reportedly attacked by a group of men after her husband lodged a complaint against her at a local mosque following a domestic dispute, NDTV reported.

The incident, which occurred outside the mosque in Davanagere city last week, was recorded and shared on social media, leading to widespread outrage.

On 7 April, Shabina Banu, who is a domestic worker, was at her residence when her kin, Nasreen, came to see her. Concurrently, a man by the name of Fayaz made his way to Shabina's home as well.

Subsequently, the trio embarked on a brief excursion before making their way back to Shabina's residence, according to authorities.

Upon his return home, Shabina's husband, Jameel Ahmed, was upset to find both Nasreen and Fayaz present at his residence. In response to his frustration, he lodged a complaint against his wife, her relative, and Fayaz at the Jama Masjid located in Bengaluru's Tavarekere.

A couple of days afterwards, on 9 April, the trio was called upon by the mosque. Upon arriving at the mosque, Shabina was brutally attacked by a group of six men who used sticks and pipes as weapons, resulting in her sustaining serious injuries.

The individuals charged include Mohammad Niyaz, a 32-year-old driver, Mohammad Gauspeer, a 45-year-old scrap dealer, Chand Basha, a 35-year-old sugarcane juice vendor, Dastagir, a 24-year-old bike mechanic, Rasool T R, a 42-year-old fisherman at Bukkambudi Lake, and Inayat Ullah, a 51-year-old local resident.

The apprehension of all six suspects occurred promptly following the widespread dissemination of the incident's video. Officials have reported that they are facing charges of conspiracy, assault, and attempted murder, as a lawsuit has been lodged against them.
