Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering in Lilavati Hospital after sustaining injuries during a burglary attempt at his Bandra West residence in Mumbai early on Thursday (16 January).

The incident occurred at around 2.30 am on Thursday (16 January) when an unidentified intruder entered the actor’s home.

According to a statement from the Bandra Police, the assailant was discovered in the bedroom of Saif’s son Jehangir.

The intruder attacked Saif with a sharp object, causing multiple injuries, while the house help also sustained minor injuries.

Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital by his son Ibrahim Ali Khan, who acted swiftly to ensure immediate medical attention.

Hospital COO Dr Niraj Uttamani confirmed Khan had six stab wounds, two of which were deep, with one located dangerously close to his spine.

A foreign object was also detected near the spine.
