Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday (14 June) met some of the students who appeared for NEET-UG 2024 medical entrance exam.

The students, who were accompanied by their parents, had reportedly requested a meeting with the Education Minister.

The minister addressed their concerns regarding the NEET exam and assured them that no injustice would be done to the students, news agency ANI reported.

Earlier in the day, Pradhan took to social media platform X to assure the students who appeared in the NEET exam that their concerns will be addressed.

"Central govt. is committed to protect the interests of NEET examinees. I want to assure the students that all their concerns will be addressed with fairness and equity. No student will be at a disadvantage and no child’s career will be at jeopardy," Pradhan wrote on X.

He further said that the facts related to the NEET examination are in cognisance of Supreme Court.

"Central govt. will take all necessary actions for the well-being of students as per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court. Counselling process of NEET will be underway soon and it is of utmost importance to move ahead in this direction without any confusion," he added.

This comes as the Supreme Court on Friday issued notice to the Centre and the National Testing Agency, which holds the NEET, on a plea seeking CBI probe into allegations of paper leaks and irregularities in the exam.
